Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising is a 2004 first-person shooter computer game from Novalogic that focuses almost entirely on its expansive online multiplayer mode. Set in Indonesia in the near future, Joint Operations takes the player to a country on the verge of disintegration. Regional independence movements have acquired advanced weaponry as the nation's military splits into competing factions.
The game focuses on modern-day combat with players fighting in the jungles of Indonesia and in exotic Southeast Asia as part of a coalition or a separatist movement. Combined Arms offers multiple soldier classes, an arsenal of 44 authentic weapons, and 35 air and ground vehicles to command during the day or at night. I like and hate the game.I'm impressed with the variety of options, such as helicopters, motorcycles, etc. Also, the ease of use with these options is user friendly.
However, I am more accustomed to games like Call of Duty and Halo. These titles differ from the above title, for me, in that it seems difficult to fight an opponent in one on one combat as well as hit a mark on the playing field. The guns just don't seem to do much unless the are absolutely clear shots. Perhaps this effect was intended by the publisher to more closely resemble a realistic situation. I can understand that, but I still get stressed out when I shoot someone, especially someone I know playing in the game, and it seems to have little effect on them.

My relatives love it though. An oldie but a goodieThis game has been around for years, but it is an excellent FPS. The battle field is HUGE, you are fighting a real battle, not just a lousy couple of blocks. Tanks, choppers, motorcycles, trucks, atv.' S, it has it all and more.It is not one of those games were you jump in fire 7,000 rounds half a dozen rockets, kill 10 players and get killed five time all in the first five minutes.
That is kid stuff. This is a thoughtful, realistic game that takes teamwork, skills and knowledge of combat.You can also use the mapmaker to produce your own game scenarios and play them on line with others. Now that is cool. Intouch opc link download. BUY THE GAME!
