Unpredictable MBP wake from sleep in Windows 7 Boot Camp. Ask Question Asked 9 years, 7 months ago. Is this a common problem with Boot Camp? Can I fix it? When I got to the OS X Startup Disk screen, BOOTCAMP was not even an option. The only icon was for the Mac partition. I installed Windows 10 on my Boot Camp MacBook Pro (a few days before Apple released the Boot Camp 6 update for Windows 10). After the overnight download it automatically installed. This morning I am confronted with a black screen! The brightness buttons had no effect so I thought the machine had crashed.

Google Chrome started to act up weirdly on one of my machines recently. I noticed display issues at first; Chrome would not show the content of sites I opened unless I changed the window size of the browser first.Yesterday, things got even weirder as the browser showed a black screen only when I started it. I could use the right-click context menu and access Chrome menus, but did not see any page content regardless of what I did. However, it only stayed that way for a second and then reverted to normal. I could login and browse the site without any issues, but decided at that point to change my login password.

It was at this stage that the page to change those details appeared totally black and stayed that way. Unfortunately the trick to fix the Google problem didn’t work for Basilisk.I don’t understand why this has happened either since the extensions I installed were exactly the same for both profiles along with the same config settings. I don’t get the problem with the other profile and if it weren’t for the missing button, I wouldn’t bother, but I need that particular addon which had lost its toolbar button.So I spent this morning creating yet another profile, again with the same extensions and config settings and this one works perfectly. Weird.EDIT. Ohojust when I clicked the Submit button, the page flashed black briefly.

I had this Google Chrome black screen issue for the first time about 1 hour ago. I’ve always had ‘RealPlayer (RealTimes)’ which would crash infrequently. I also recently installed ‘FileZilla Server’ 3 days ago too on my Windows 8.1 desktop.To fix this black screen issue, I used Task Manager and Ended Task for ‘RealPlayer with Real Times (32bit)’ and also Ended Task for ‘FileZilla Server’. I also went into Windows Control Panel ‘Windows Firewall with Advanced’ and selected the ‘FileZilla Server’ names and the associated New Rules I created to open ports 21, 990, and port ranges 0 for FileZilla Server, then right-clicked and selected ‘Properties’, then I selected ‘Block the Connections’ for each one.Finally I restarted my computer and clicked on the Google Chrome icon on my Taskbar to see how Google Chrome web browser would behave and it turned out to solve the black screen issue for me as the browser windows could now display just like new.

It took me only 30 minutes to solve this issue. However I noticed that I had to only ‘End Task’ again for FileZilla Server and RealPlayer from the Task Manager after I re-started my computer.

Help!I'm having the black screen with blinking cursor whenever I try and boot up Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit thru Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro. If i let it just sit there for maybe 2 minutes, it then goes to the Windows Boot Manager screen and allows me to click on Windows 7 and the it boots perfect. I've tried installing it twice, same thing. No problem booting OS X Snow Leo 10.6.3.

Gott the right NVidia drivers installed, makes no difference. Have Paragon NTFS installed so I can get thru to NTFS partition from OS X.

I badly need Windows too and don't wanna slow it down by running it in Parallels or VMWare Fusion. I havent tried leaving it for a few minutes to see if it will go onto boot up further yer but when i have gone to use the recovery feature on my windows 7 ultimate install disc (volume license) my install is detected as vista business edition!? And consequently it says i cant repair this installation cos its not the right installation. When i use the command prompt to do the bootrec commands the first two report success but the last (bcd) says there is no windows installation.

Anyone know what i could do to resolve this?Some background info: i uograded my hard drive and imaged the old one with r-drive image program and restored it to new drive so i have all my settings and games installed still. I got the exact same issue. I am trying to fix that blinking cursor issue also. When I do those steps listed out, I get 'This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows' after I hit next when selecting the OS I want to repair (Windows 7, 64 bit on a MacBook Pro). Any tips?You will be getting that error due to an incompatible CD.For example, I have 4 PC's at my place (2 Laptops and 2 Desktops) I am running 2x OEM 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium, 1x OEM Win 7 64 bit Professional and lastly a 32bit Win7 HP OEM for my media center.

If I use my 32 bit disc on a 64 bit installation it wont work. If i use my 64 bit professional disc on a 64 bit Home edition it wont work. There are work arounds and if you think this might be happening a bit more often then I suggest looking up how to make a windows 7 universal disc (Like the old vista ones). You need both a 64 bit and a 32 bit iso which are modified a bit to allow the installation of any of HP, Pro or Ult. Once both iso's are universal you need to merge them so you can install both 64 bit and 32 bit software.
